Willem en Vonnie - met Dakkie op reis: juli 2015

We zijn nog steeds in Palau, wachtend op onderdelen voor de bus. Ondertussen vermaken we ons prima. Dit is het nabijgelegen strand van Porto Pollo:

We are still in Palau, waiting for spare parts to fix the bus. Meanwhile, we enjoy ourselves just fine. This is the nearby beach of Porto Pollo:

Ondertussen gaat het leven op de camping zijn dagelijkse gangetje. Mensen rijden af en aan met bootjes, en Willem opent vers gevangen oesters.

Nel frattempo, la vita sul campeggio va avanti nel ritmo quotidiano. La gente viene e va con le barche, e Willem sta aprendo delle ostriche appena pescate.

Meanwhile, camping life continues its daily pace. People come and go with boats, and Willem opens freshly caught oysters.

De onderdelen zijn gearriveerd en worden geïnspecteerd. Maandag naar de garage.

I ricambi sono arrivati e vengono controllati. Lunedì andiamo all'autofficina.

The spare parts have arrived and are being inspected. Monday it's off to the garage.

Na 2 weken Corsica overgevaren naar Sardinië. Aldaar rechtstreeks naar een van onze favoriete campings gereden: Baia Saraceno in Palau. Na enig zoeken een leuke plek aan zee gevonden.

Dopo 2 settimane in Corsica abbiamo preso il traghetto per la Sardegna. Siamo andati direttamente a uno dei nostri campeggi preferiti: Baia Saraceno a Palau. Dopo qualche ricerca abbiamo trovato un bel posto vicino al mare.

After 2 weeks in Corsica we took the ferry to Sardinia. We immediately headed for one of our favourite camp sites: Baia Saraceno in Palau. After some searching we found a lovely spot close to the sea.

's Ochtends vroeg op de fiets naar een afgelegen paradijselijk strandje. 't Was een fraaie maar nogal inspannende route; vooral de terugweg op het heetst van de dag.

Presto la mattina andando in bici per una spiaggia paradisiaca isolata. Il percorso era bello ma affaticosa; soprattutto il ritorno nel calore del giorno.

Early morning on our bikes to a hidden paradisiac beach. The ride was beautiful but exhausting; especially the return during the heat of the day.

Op weg naar weer een ander fraai strand, op het eiland Caprera. Eerst overvaren naar La Maddalena, vandaaruit een stuk met de bus en toen nog een stukje lopen.

Sulla strada per un'altra spiaggia splendida, sull'Isola di Caprera. Primo abbiamo preso il traghetto per La Maddalena, poi il pulman e poi una camminata.

On our way to yet another splendid beach, on the isle of Caprera. To get there we had to take the ferry to La Maddalena, then a bus and after that a little walk.

Willem doet verwoede pogingen de versleten motor van de bus nieuw leven in te blazen. Bij de dichtbijgelegen garage Brundu mochten we een brug gebruiken.

Willem fa un disperato tentativo di rianimare il motore usurato. All'autofficina vicina Brundu abbiamo potuto usare un ponte.

Willem is trying desperately to breathe new life into the worn engine. The nearby garage Brundu let us use a car lift.
